Term 3 English Project

This term the grade six students have been given a project on 'Boy Overboard,' the novel we are reading in class. The project is to be completed both in class and at home independently by the end of term. The children have been given a folder to place all thier work in which will be handed to the teacher for assessment.
The children have been given a 'Reading Riddick' which is a list of activities to complete that increase in degree of difficulty as the children work their way toward the top level of tasks. For further information, click on the image to the right to view why a reading riddick is a valuable learning tool for understanding text.
The children are required to complete 1 activity per level and 3 bonus activities of their choice.
This is a total of 9 activities altogether which is the minimum required to pass this assessment task. The children may complete as many activities as they like. Obviously, the more effort and accuracy in the presentation of their folder will result in better marks.
The activity tasks have been given to the children and placed in their folder. The list of activities is above and this post and you can enlarge them by clicking on them. There are two lists to choose from.
